Roof of England
![]() |
There are 4 mountains in England which exceed the magical 3000ft barrier, all of them in the Lake District National Park and standing proud as the highest of them all is Scafell Pike at 3210ft, or if you prefer the modern metric measurement, 978m. Scafell Pike is an intriguing mountain with a complex topography and a splendid choice of routes to it's summit. With possible starting points in Borrowdale, Wasdale, Eskdale and Langdale there are no shortage of excursions to gain it's lofty summit. We'll meet you at your preferred starting point and accompany you safely to the famous cairn where you can, if only for a few moments be the very highest person in the country. Our maximum Leader:Client ration is 1:8 Contact us to discuss your requirements For specific skills courses see our Mountaincraft and Navigation courses. |
