Spain's quiet coast
![]() |
In between the bustling Costa del Sol and the popular Almeria resort of Mojacar lies a little known jewel, the coastline of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. Home to some remote and stunning beaches, the rugged coastline interspersed with quiet resorts provides a superb walking experience far from the madding crowd. This part of Andalucia is one of the sunniest and most arid parts of Europe and the inland landscape is very much desert like. Prickly Pear and the symbol of the Natural Park, the Fan Palm abound and demand 'concentration' from walkers ! Our week consists of 3 days of coastal walking and because we spend 2 nights at 3 of our bases you have the option to relax on alternate days and make the most of those stunning beaches. For those who wish to discover more of the landscapes we offer optional day walks. General Information:Stunning coastal scenery and desert landscapes in one of the sunniest parts of Europe. Ideal whether you prefer to walk most days or whether you like to relax on some stunning beaches on alternate days. NB: Some of the beaches in this area are Naturist beaches. |
